hang jebat

I watched “HANG JEBAT” last night. In a scene when Hang Tuah just returned from his isolation, he asked for his kris Taming Sari from the Sultan. The sultan sadly said that he had gave the kris to Jebat. Then the sultan went into his room, took a kris from his queen (which i guest is Raden Mas) then give it to Hang Tuah and said, “Use this Kris, Parung Sari, it is made in Majapahit too!”

Everyone know that “Taming Sari the kris” is actually belongs to “Taming Sari the Majapahit warrior.” I wonder if this is an indication how we malays always trust the import stuff is better! :\

Comparing to P.Ramlee’s version of Hang Tuah, the Sultan gave Hang Tuah the royal keris which belongs to legendary Tun Nila Utama from Bukit Siguntang.
